ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this post, I really appreciate it. Maybe a few "review" words from the bandleader would be timely!
To my happiness the first show was packed (about 120 or so) and the second almost as much. Everyone enjoyed the space and its intimacy, including the band.
It was great to have Ken back playing Guitar and doing a fab job, always somehow knowing when to play and when not to, and having excellent command over my tightly woven arrangements. I hadn't worked with Hamilton before, but I certainly will again. Enjoyed the big sound he gets with strong solos. Chris was especially good with dynamics shifting between 1st and 5th gear with speed and nuance. Thanks again for your promo note on this gig.
